Vulcanizados Alvarez installs two new two-component injection machines at its plant in the Boecillo Technology Park. They are intended for the manufacture of composite technical parts for the Automotive and High Voltage Electrical market.
Despite the complications that 2020 has brought, Vulcanizados Alvarez continues to bet on Innovation and Technological Development of its processes. The implementation of a new fully automatic multicomponent injection line for technical parts composed of different materials has been carried out at its facilities in the Boecillo Technology Park.
This versatile line that will currently manufacture parts of maximum responsibility for its German client has become an innovative revolution worldwide. It provides a solution to a problem suffered to date by all national and multinational companies that used this type of piece of equipment in their sets. With this pioneering implementation Vulcanizados Alvarez obtains an unmatched competitive advantage over its competitors.
The highly confidential nature of the project does not allow us to delve into the details but with an investment of more than 2 Million Euros and the creation of 6 new jobs, Vulcanizados Alvarez thus ensures a project for the next 15 years.
This project involves the installation of 2 multicomponent injection machines, both with a handling robot, which convert into a single process without manual intervention what until now had been 3 different injection operations on different machines and with both intermediate and subsequent manual rework processes. .
The benefits are so evident that they greatly reduce the risk of parts failure by achieving a 100% automatic, controlled, clean and stable process, replacing a previous manufacturing process in which due to its intermediate and final interventions it could not be guaranteed the perfect equality of the manufactured parts as occurs after this innovation.
This new production process makes it possible to improve traceability in the manufacture of these parts, going from controlling only the month in which they were manufactured to knowing exactly the exact time they were manufactured. Thus it is possible to access all the manufacturing parameters of the parts-components, as well as the different batches of raw material used.
In this way, Vulcanizados Alvarez aspires to new projects that allow the application of this new technology. Thanks to it, it is firmly positioned in the European market and the assault on the American market is posed as a challenge through the use of this innovative technology in new projects that are already underway.
