Brief description of the project
The objective of the project is the study and analysis of the appropriate materials and processes for use in electrical components (insulators), and with this, improve the mechanical properties, meeting quality, productivity and safety requirements.
With the execution of the project, a study and analysis of suitable materials and processes have been carried out to obtain high voltage insulators, making use of a versatile installation that has allowed the obtaining of pieces of different geometries in large runs, always guaranteeing compliance quality, productivity and safety requirements.
Vulcanizados Alvarez has demonstrated its ability to investigate improvements in electrical components, specifically in high voltage electrical insulators, proposing alternative solutions to those already existing in said market, using composite materials with adequate mechanical and electrical behavior, combining a rubber of silicone (dielectric material) to form the core of the insulator, with a conductive paint applied superficially to the substrate, to provide it with a very localized electricity conduction capacity.
